Who we are

Ikageng Kgabo is a 100% black-owned and black-managed logistics and distribution company specializing in the dairy and fast-moving consumer goods sector. Originally established in 1986 as Monale Dairy, the company operates a fleet of refrigerated trucks, focusing on retail back-door deliveries and distribution to retail food stores. We also distribute to informal retail markets, forecourt retail stores, warehouses, distribution centers, and handle inter-cold store transfers and deliveries.

The company was founded in Soweto by Thomas Monale, who over the years together with a dynamic team amassed broad logistics and marketing experience in the refrigerated logistics and cold storage distribution sector. Key to attaining success and gaining a foothold in the logistics sector has been an unwavering commitment to a competitive pricing strategy, service excellence, on-time delivery, and client relationship management. Ikageng Kgabo has since formation distributed products for Clover Industries Limited. Clover is a leading and competitive branded consumer goods and products group operating in South Africa and other selected African countries.

  • the Workmen's Compensation and
  • UIF.

Training

We use a variety of training methods supported by our clients, including product and driver training. New skilled and unskilled personnel are trained as needed. Newly hired employees are tested at the time of employment, with the expectation that they are fully trained and competent at the time of employment.

Business History

Founded in 1986, Ikageng Kgabo Distribution is a wholly compliant BBBEE logistics and distribution company. The company has its roots in Soweto where since inception has successfully distributed fast moving consumer goods to spaza shops, mom & pop stores, garage forecourts, and chain retailers. Through a combination of utilizing mid-size refrigerated trucks and distribution centres, the company has been instrumental in developing and maintaining key supply chains for the food and beverage sector.

Under the leadership of Thomas Monale, from inception to 2018, Ikageng now boasts an experienced and professional dynamic team determined to provide superior logistics and distribution services to a select client base, which includes national and multi-national companies. We are committed to offer clients a competitive pricing strategy, service excellence, on-time delivery and expert administration.

Pitso joined the company in 2020 and has 20 years of experience in sales/customer relations with various companies. He has received multiple awards for providing excellent customer service.

Samuel joined the company in 1996 as a junior driver and over the years was promoted to Logistics Manager.

Ntokozo joined the company in 2018 as a driver and after a few months was promoted to Logistics Manager.
